Destructive hurricanes and the recent Malibu wildfires not only affects thousands of people living in these areas, but also countless animals and pets who are often left behind as people flee to safety. As a Los Angeles resident, I was particularly touched by the Malibu fires, and heard stories of animals who were trapped with no way to escape. In that moment, I had wished there was more I could do to help and serve as a resource to the brave rescuers and volunteers who risked their lives to save our precious animals.
The Fluffball Relief Fund will serve as a separate funding stream for these emergency situations specifically. My goal is to have funds that can be pulled from at a moment’s notice and donated to help buy supplies, pay for services or other efforts to help rescue animals who are trapped or in danger.
